Superman: The Verisimilitude Series is a complete reworking of the entire Superman series to establish the best continuous story through continuity, alternate scenes, and music.
PART I: ORIGINS - Directed by Richard Donner
Not much changes between the theatrical cut of Superman: The Movie and the Verisimilitude Edition. Only a few scenes from the extended cut and special edition are added back into the film. As the saying goes, "don't mess with perfection".

EDITOR'S NOTE:
"Without a doubt, the easiest film to edit of the series. Richard Donner made this movie exactly the way it should be done. The theatrical cut still stands as the blueprint for a superhero film to this day. I only made a few minor changes like adding in a couple scenes that I feel could've made it into the original cut."
CHANGELOG:
Added ALL unused score by John Williams throughout film
Added Special Edition scene of the Kryptonian Council deciding against Jor-El
Added additional dialogue from extended cut of Jonathan Kent talking to Martha after finding Kal-El
Added additional establishing shot of Metropolis from extended cut
Added (fantastic) VFX shots from extended cut of Superman flying past the Twin Towers and crowd reacting after he saves Lois
Added Special Edition scene of Superman meeting with Jor-El in the Fortress after the first night
Added extended cut scene of Richard Donner's "That'll be the day" cameo
Added extended cut scene of XK missile dodging Superman as he tries to catch it, with new sound mix
Added extended cut scene of Superman stopping after saving Jimmy and allowing him to take a photo of the Hoover Dam's collapse
PART II: REVENGE FROM KRYPTON - Directed by Richard Donner and Richard Lester
An entirely rebuilt film featuring the best of Richard Donner's version and Richard Lester's version, without a battle for director's credit. Featuring an entirely new opening sequence; a story from the perspective of Jor-El, the new release of the villains, a return to the opening theater, and a new title sequence.

EDITOR'S NOTE:
"My goal for Superman II was the create the best version of the film without having directors fighting for majority credit. Because of this, I have credited both Richard Donner and Richard Lester as directors of the film. EDITOR'S NOTE:
"I had a clear goal when editing Superman III, rid the film of a majority of its poor jokes, maintain seriousness, and most importantly, restore verisimilitude. I couldn't just completely remove comedy from the film because there'd be no movie left. I had to find the perfect level of comedic elements and seriousness in order to balance to film into, what I believe to be, a better finished product."

Cut brief scene of shopkeeper and janitor before Superman adjusts the Tower of Pisa

PART IV: A QUEST FOR PEACE - Directed by Sidney J. Furie
A story told unfinished. A film released with a slashed budget. The man who tried to save it. This is Superman IV. Before its budget cuts, before its final edit, and as it was originally intended.

EDITOR'S NOTE:
"This was easily the most difficult edit of the Verisimilitude Series. It was a gargantuan task of remastering the original version of Superman IV before Warner Bros. and Cannon Films cut nearly forty minutes for the film's theatrical release. Unfortunately, much of the original footage shot in 1987 has still not been released to the public and therefore, like the theatrical cut, this cut is incomplete. However, after reading through shooting scripts, re-writes, and cast recollections, I believe that I have created the closest possible representation of the original Superman IV. With remixed deleted scenes, fixed VFX coloring, and a few upgraded visual effects. I always try to style my fan-edits in ways that would be possible when the original film was released. So there are no full CG models or shots in this film. I sincerely hope you enjoy this fan-edit as much as I did while making it. It was a tough job but I am satisfied with the final product."

"Live as one of them, Kal-El, to discover where your strength and your power are needed. But always hold in your heart the pride of your special heritage. They can be a great people, Kal-El, they wish to be. They only lack the light to show the way. For this reason above all, their capacity for good, I have sent them you... my only son." -Jor-El in Superman: The Movie, 1978
